A most attractive matched Pair of Early 20th Century Antique Edwardian Plated Oil Lamps, the fluted columns rising from well shaped square bases, the distinctive "Kosmos" burners, originally invented by Wild and Wessel of Berlin with one wick winder marked Kosmos-Brenner. The prettily hand painted green glass fonts surmounted by delicately etched, scalloped, clear glass shades. Most unusual to find such a pair of Period lamps in this condition. Antique Victorian Moore Brothers Porcelain Oil Lamp
Quite delightful! This fine and rare Late 19th Century Antique Victorian Staffordshire Porcelain Oil Lamp in cream and gilt by Moore Brothers of Stoke-on-Trent { 1872 - 1905 }, is an Interior Decorator's dream come true. The floral encrusted font rising from an elaborate base where three putti are hard at work producing Cupid's arrows in Vulcan's forge. The whole romantic ensemble is topped off with a fine brass burner and a stunning Victorian period scalloped vaseline glass shade. Signed upon the underside of the base with the underglaze printed factory mark MOORE within a floral cartouche. Some of that discolouration to the glaze so typical of Moore brothers output, but this in no way detracts from the beauty of this lovely old piece. Antique Victorian "Art Nouveau" Oil Lamp
Here we have a rare and stunning example of a Late 19th Century Antique Victorian Oil Lamp in the Art Nouveau manner from our own collection. Mounted upon a most unusual and distinctive round brass tapered column rising from a three tiered stepped base, the superbly coloured font, shading from the palest to the very deepest yellow, is crisply moulded with flowing arabesques. The font has a small stress crack which has not moved during the past 25 years and does not in any way detract from the beauty of this superb piece. The brass burner, in excellent condition, with wick winders and snuffers / wick trimmers in working order, the wick winder buttons each marked "ENGLISH MAKE". The whole ensemble perfectly complemented by a simply stunning contemporary period shade, acid etched with a well balanced and drawn floral motif. The crisply moulded font set upon a fine quality reeded brass column rising from a domed brass foot which sits upon a round black ceramic base.
